When we realized the extent of the Web Summit in our country in 2016, it became clear to us that a possible presence in the next year would have to be analyzed.

Although the necessary investment was very high, which would prevent us from being present, we decided to compete for the co-financing that Startup Portugal had available to 150 Portuguese companies, and we had the opportunity to be one of the lucky ones.

Having confirmed our participation in the 2017 Web Summit, we started, right away, the whole process that involves attending an event of this dimension, starting with the solution we were going to present.

The choice was based on the Izigo Survey, the solution that allows you to collect the opinion of customers at the end of the service, in a shop, workshop, hotel reception, among other options.

As part of the participation with the support of Startup Portugal, we were invited to take part in various promotion and preparation activities, such as the Bootcamp organized by Beta-i, or the presentation party of the 150 selected companies that counted with the presence of the Mayor of Lisbon, Fernando Medina.

We were also honored to be invited by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who was kind enough to take a "selfie" with us at the end of the event.

On November 8th, the day of our participation in the event was reached with an exclusive space dedicated to izigo. 7:30 a.m. A laptop, a tablet, an LCD, business cards and a lot of willingness to share our demonstration of the Izigo Survey. Everything was set for the big day!

From early on, many people were interested in getting to know us better, knowing more in detail everything we did, and how our opinion-gathering solution worked, from investors, representatives of technology centers, great consumption, among many others.

The demonstration we had prepared proved to be quite effective both from a functional point of view and from the point of view of all the advantages it would bring in collecting and analyzing customer opinions. Not only because it is something different and innovative, but also because it allows to reproduce in a practical way its operation in the day to day of the companies.

It has been more than 10 hours in a row, without pauses or rest, but a fantastic experience and a different way of showing, to those who do not know us, everything that is passionate and moving every day - creating value solutions for our customers.

Having collected all the contacts of those who visited us, we now begin a process of analysis and follow-up in order to realize, together with each one, how the solution can help them in your business.

Whether the investment paid off or not, we still do not know. But we can safely say that at the level of experience and learning, it was worth it. And a lot!

If we are going to repeat our presence next year, only the future will tell us, but we believe it will always add value to our brand and our solutions.
